The new construction process is always fun because you literally get to watch magic happen as you experience first hand an idea from your head actually manifest itself right before your very eyes!

Last year we began planning the construction of this unit and it’s exhilarating to drive up to the site and hear nails guns firing off every few seconds! Take a look at some of the in proces

2 weeks in and things are progressing along pretty good; in fact, the framers have only worked (1) full day and we were able to get the subfloor installed and framed most of the entire first floor! Not too shabby!

Beautiful Home Makeover for Momma T!

Houston Vintage Homes has been blessed to have a full schedule of new construction and major renovation projects but we commonly get requests for small remodels. Due to the size and scope of most of our projects we generally refer these requests to other contractors but in this case we had to make an exception to assist a distraught homeowner!

Our client initially hired a contractor and within a day they recognized they made a mistake in hiring and were concerned with what to do next! Having found out about HVH from Instagram, our client reached out to us and we knew we had to help them out! Take a look at the condition of the home when we arrived on the scene…

The homeowner, Momma T as she affectionately became known has lived in this home for over 20 years and really wanted to update it and modernize her home. Taking cues from her favorite colors and style we were able to craft a design that would meet all of her design objectives WITHOUT busting her budget.

In the end, we believe we hit all of the objectives dead on and to say our client LOVES her new home would be putting it mildy, take a look for yourself…

Too bad we didn’t have a chance to get better pictures before our client began using the space but we are just glad that Momma T now has an all new Living Room, updated bathroom and a place that makes her feel happy! It was fun working on this project and we look forward to one day helping you make your house a home one day!

Custom Design & Build Inner City Dream Home

Modern Classical home situated on a Large Corner Lot

It was quite the pleasant surprise when a past client from 15 years ago calls and says, “you said you would build my Dream Home for me and now its TIME!” WOW, okay… was my initial response not really thinking they were serious! Fast forward 18 months and here we are!

This project was quite the undertaking for several reasons primarily being that it was just under 8,000 square feet of total construction on a huge corner lot in one of Houston’s most popular gentrifying neighborhoods!

Always up for a design challenge the team at HVH quickly began to put the pieces of the puzzle in place to make this the ultimate dream home for our clients!

Having grown up in this neighborhood our client wanted a home that was reminiscent of the homes that made this area famous yet livable and entertaining for their growing family. It had to be modern in design, brick and elevated high enough so that flooding would never be an issue (we had just came through Hurricane Harvey) .

Overall we couldn’t be more excited about the results…

The HVH design team is excited about the progress on this bungalow located in 5th Ward which is one of Houston’s hottest areas undergoing rapid gentrification! This was quite a memorable design & renovation project, in fact, we coined this home Ms Carla…

As you can see by the time we rescued Ms Carla she was badly in need of some love & affection… In fact, there had been many years of deferred maintenance and she was truly in need of loving hands.

Our design mission was to enhance and bring back to life her original character and beauty and once the smoke settled…

Located in Houston’s historic 2nd Ward also known as Eado this was quite the exciting and dramatic makeover that has become the HVH calling card!
