Every project we embark on here at Houston Vintage Homes poses unique challenges and opportunities for us to grow, learn and advance our craft and this lovely Near Northside bungalow is no different.
One of the challenges is this home has really low ceilings so our goal is to design the kitchen so that the ceiling disappears while your attention is drawn to the gourmet kitchen, exposed reclaimed Cedar Beams, built in pantry and a sitting area in the breakfast area!
What this kitchen will lack in ceiling height it will make up for in space and features with plans for a pro-style Jenn Air convection oven, pot filler in the backsplash, farmhouse sink and custom shaker cabinets to boot!
The biggest issue we have right now is determining the exact design and styling of the kitchen, laundry and bathroom floors to ensure a cohesive design that is exciting yet not too busy! Stay tuned as this HVH design continues to unfold…
