Custom New Construction comes to 5th Ward…

The team here at Houston Vintage Homes is beyond exciting about our forthcoming Custom Home project we are currently developing in Houston’s historic 5th Ward! This storied neighborhood is chocked full of history located in the eastern shadows of downtown Houston!

Because of it’s close proximity to downtown Houston and easy access to I-10, 59 & 610 freeways the area is undergoing a resurgence with gentrification well underway throughout!

It’s only right we position ourselves to contribute to the area’s return to prominence and we have designed a home that we believe will truly be an asset to the area and it’s future owners!

This Urban Bungalow features a spacious floorplan accented with 9 1/2 foot ceilings, solid oak hardwood floors an extensive trim and built in shelves cabinetry package. It boasts a gourmet kitchen 3 expansive bedrooms and a full fledged home office with a separate entrance and enclosed bathroom for the entrepreneur or person who works from home!

Urban Craftsman Bungalow Renovation…

This was quite a memorable design & renovation project, in fact, we coined this home Ms Carla…

As you can see by the time we rescued Ms Carla she was badly in need of some love & affection… In fact, there had been many years of deferred maintenance and she was truly in need of loving hands.

Our design mission was to enhance and bring back to life her original character and beauty and once the smoke settled…

Located in Houston’s historic 2nd Ward also known as Eado this was quite the exciting and dramatic makeover that has become the HVH calling card!

Framing our Inner City Mini Mansion…

Designing a home for your family to live in not only requires a TON of planning but it can be a very emotionally taxing and for some a frustrating process! Here at Houston Vintage Homes we strive to first educate our clients on the intricacies of the entire home design & construction process and then we formulate a Plan of Construction that eliminates the normal headaches & hassles associated with the process!

Construction begins…

At the point we begin to clear the homesite and install the underground there is some indication that something BIG is in the midst of happening but this could still be considered what we call “slow boogie”… that is, until we get the foundation laid and then its SHOWTIME!

Nail guns and compressors…

There is NO SOUND more sweet to the ears than pulling up to a construction site and hearing the constant growl of the compressor and the spattering pops of nail guns! What an amazing sound to a future homeowners ears…
The home pictured above is our largest custom home project to date and it’s been quite the experience managing all the nuances of this project but as you can see this will be a stunning home!
